Lets Blog is a WordPress blog theme, developed in August 2015, by Theme Goods, an Envato Power Elite author, suitable for photography, magazine and multi-purpose website templates. With a one-click demo option and custom post types, Lets Blog is a clean and minimalist template.
Design
Built for versatility, Lets Blog comes with simple design elements. The template is responsive and retina ready ensuring a positive experience on mobile devices. Many predefined page layouts make Lets Blog a flexible, easy-to-customize theme.
The feature content can display a single image, a gallery, Youtube or Vimeo videos when the website’s layout is in full-width. This theme allows to create image galleries separately and insert them from a list as featured content in posts.
Lets Blog allows you to transform your portal using the mega menus and sticky menus. The mega menu is generated using a custom CSS class, and it can render in 2-5 columns. The author added some fresh design features as ‘Right click protection’ and ‘Image dragging protection.’ Using these options, you have control over your copyright protected content.
Functionality
From the theme’s Settings panel, you can import the demo with content. This option can be useful if you intend to take a “test drive” on your new website, helping you to decide which predefined template is the right one for you. Lets Blog uses a Customizer panel with additional settings, allowing you to change colors, and to choose the preferred typography. You can also add a frame to the website’s layout and pick between a boxed and a full style.

Performance
In our era, time has become a precious commodity. We value a product by the benefits it offers, but we also judge it by the speed delivered by its output. We have tested Lets Blog’s default demo on different page speed tests, and it loads the content with a high speed.
Downsides
Lets Blog theme doesn’t come with a child theme included, and sticky sidebars are not available. The RTL writing system, custom, and Typekit fonts are a few missing features. This template doesn’t have support for audio posts, and no post views or review system is available. The theme’s documentation is quite detailed, but lacking information about Shortcode Options generator. As the Theme Goods author has over 45 WordPress themes, the major updates are very rare.
